The other day my husband came home from work, the house was in a semi mess, no washing had been done and I was lying on the couch. Granted I was suffering morning/all day sickness with a relentless attitude ridden two year BUT that wasn't why nothing had been done.
He proceeded to ask me if I had done any washing, because he needed the ONE of TWO pairs of work pants that he has for his 6 day a week outside job (god knows why he doesn't have more as back up), obviously I hadn't done any. He then jokingly (I think) said "your a bit of a shit housewife". At first in my hormonal state I got a bit pissed off at that comment. I might also add he totally gets why things don't get done (he is my biggest supporter, as long as he has clean pants to wear to work apparently lol), so this post is not a dig at him but more a message I wanted to share with YOU!
After a couple of days I actually took it as a compliment, so thanks darling, love a good compliment.
If shit isn't getting done around the house it isn't because I simply never do it or that it won't get done, it means I am prioritising things that are more important to me.
Creating content, coaching team, empowering myself with education, spending time with Myka, moving and creating in the studio, connecting with friends, RESTING and RECOVERING (which is needed now more than ever), cooking amazing pregnancy foods THESE ARE THING THAT I LOVE.
Sometimes things wont get done around the house, because cleaning, washing, dishes, ironing and such tasks are not high topic priorities for me.
So give yourself permission to maybe skip the washing one day, if you need to. Turns out the world won't end and life will go on. Stop telling yourself that you don't have time to get things done, because I do quite a bit of juggling and I have the same amount of hours in my day as you do (YES I know i only have one child). It's all about spending your time doing what you see as high priority topics. You may be happier in the process!
